Volunteering at WYAS

Volunteering at WYAS

WYAS offers the opportunity for people over the age of 18 to volunteer for the service offering roles such as helping out with events and activities or supporting work on access to our collections.

If you are aged between 16-18 we can arrange a work placement, subject to availability, through your school or college please contact us for more information.

WYAS can only offer collections related volunteer opportunities Monday – Friday. Some events and activities may take place on an evening or weekend and require volunteer help.

Volunteer Roles

Due to capacity, we are only able to offer a limited number of roles at a time. We try to offer volunteering at all of our offices, and some remote roles, these will not always be available.

WYAS recruits to specific volunteer roles for a set period of time, once these roles come to an end there may not be another project to move on to.

Events and activities roles are more flexible and we recruit a pool of volunteers who can do as little or as much volunteering as they wish.
