This training course for food producers of all sizes looks at the Food Labelling Requirements within the Food Information (England) Regulations 2014.  It provides an essential overview of the current legal requirements you have to follow as a food/drink business and how to label and promote products correctly.


Course Outline:

This full day course covers a number of topics regarding food promotion and labelling, including:

  • The naming of a food;
  • Ingredients;
  • QUID (Quantitative Ingredients Declaration);
  • Allergens;
  • Net quantity;
  • Duration dates;
  • Storage condition and essential on-pack information.

Marketing claims and the sale of food by distance means is also covered. In addition, the training will allow discussion around how to prevent any non-conformities and identify options when things go wrong.

For small to medium sized businesses who may be less familiar with the current food labelling regime, it provides a comprehensive overview of food labelling. With regards to larger businesses, the training provides great grounding for new starters and for food business operators and compliance managers who want to refresh their existing knowledge.
