Nineteen car dealerships in West Yorkshire are celebrating achieving the Excellent Customer Service Award for 2018 as part of the Motor Trade Partnership (MTP) scheme. Beginning in 2001, the scheme was set up by West Yorkshire Trading Standards Service to promote legal compliance and customer service in order to increase consumer confidence in the motor industry.
For customers, choosing a garage that is a member of the Motor Trade Partnership ensures that they are dealing with a trader who has committed to fair and honest practices as set out in the Partnership’s terms and conditions and who has passed a trading standards audit. Members are encouraged to display the Partnership logo, and will be able to answer questions about the scheme.
The scheme has recently gone through significant redevelopment and West Yorkshire Trading Standards Service is proud to announce that it is now an accredited Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) provider. ADR is a cheap and effective means of resolving dispute between consumers and traders without going to court. WYTSS offers ADR to all its MTP members.
Michelle Bucknell, Coordinator for the West Yorkshire Trading Standards Motor Trade Partnership scheme said “We are delighted that so many of our partners have received the Excellent Customer Service Award. It just goes to show that the Partnership is achieving its objective of increasing consumer confidence by promoting fair and honest motor traders.”
