The Wakefield Collections include:

  • County wide collections of West Yorkshire and the West Riding County Council, dating from 1889-1974
  • West Riding Quarter Sessions, dating from the early 1600s, which were responsible for county administration and judicial functions

  • Coroners' records and hospital records, including Bradford Royal Infirmary and Halifax General
  • Important mental health collections, including those for the UNESCO Heritage of the World award winning Stanley Royd, Menston High Royds and Storthes Hall Hospitals
