Opening hours

We are sorry to announce that the West Yorkshire Archive Service offices will be closing to the public from Thursday 5th November until further notice to comply with the latest Covid-19 Lockdown requirements for non-essential services and businesses in England.

We will continue to monitor our email and telephone messages where we are able to do so and will respond to essential enquiries where we can. We may experience delays in receiving any postal enquiries, please bear with us.

Please keep an eye out for updates on our website and social media channels for further information.

Appointment must be made at least one week in advance of your visit. Please contact us by telephone 0113 535 0150 or by email to arrange your appointment. Please do not travel to our building without having received confirmation of your booking.

To help ensure that our spaces are safe for both public and staff, and that we are following government guidelines, please read the office guidance before planning your visit.

Group talks and workshops

A range of talks are available to groups and organisations who would like to find out more about our Archive Service. In our talks we aim to explain the work we do and help to raise public awareness of our collections and expertise. We offer many different talks, details of which and how to book can be found here.

Refreshment facilities within the building are temporarily closed, but many cafes are located close by.
