West Yorkshire Archive Service Kirklees office will move to our new temporary new home in the Piazza shopping area directly opposite Huddersfield Central Library. All visitors are required to book their visit and order documents at least one week in advance. Some records are held in an outstore and may take longer to make available. Please do not travel to our building without having received confirmation of your booking.

A range of talks are available to groups and organisations who would like to find out more about our Archive Service. In our talks we aim to explain the work we do and help to raise public awareness of our collections and expertise. We offer many different talks, details of which and how to book can be found here.
Refreshment facilities within the building are temporarily closed, but many cafes are located close by.
