Our publications

We have many years’ experience in the publication and dissemination of the results of archaeological excavation and research.

The complete publication process is undertaken in-house by experienced staff, from project costing and sub-editing to page layout and design.

We have published material on behalf of developers, local authorities and Historic England, and we specialise in:

  • Academic excavation reports
  • Major regional surveys
  • Information leaflets
  • Popular publications for the general public
  • Newsletters

We publish a monograph series for major technical reports but also, where appropriate, aim to disseminate results as widely as possible. For example, the excavations at Roman Castleford were published as an academic report in three volumes, but were preceded by a popular booklet, In Search of Roman Castleford, and by a short volume written and designed for use in schools, The Story of Roman Castleford.
