Brilliant Bookbinding

A beginner’s session where you can have a go at Coptic bookbinding. Learn how to make a simple book with hard boards, sewn together using Coptic stitching. This style of sewing ensures a flat opening to the binding making it ideal for use as a personal journal or sketchbook. All materials will be provided.

Coal Faces Community Open Day

Saturday 9 September 2017 (10:00 AM - 4:00 PM)
As part of Heritage Open Day WYAS will be opening their new exhibition ‘Coal Faces’ exploring mining history in West Yorkshire through archival records. There will be Trace your mining ancestor workshops at 11am and 2pm, craft activities with our conservation team and a chance to meet Eric the Pony from NCM between 10am -2pm.
